"The Garden of Eden" by Thomas Cole
The Garden of Eden was a beautiful place. It was like Heaven on earth. It had perfect climate, perfect fruit, and sadly, a Forbidden Tree. When Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan, God sent an Angel of Heaven carrying a flaming sword to block the garden from Adam and Eve, and they were to never return to the garden. Adam and Eve were sent out by God Because they had eaten the forbidden fruit. And Satan (in the form of a serpent at the time) and all snakes were cursed to have their legs removed from them and had to slither on their bellies.
