Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Old Testament in the Bible. It was written by Moses under the direction of God. Its name comes from the Greek translation of the Bible, the Septuagint. It mostly describes what happened before the Israelites entered the Promised Land, and some of God's last-minute instructions for the people. It was a second giving of the Law found in Exodus to the New Generation entering Canaan.
